Anticipating my youngest leaving for University I decided to put my home on the market to down-size. I first went with an agent and broker that was well know in my neighborhood thinking that with his knowledge of the area he would be the best choice. The house unfortunately sat on the market for almost a year. I was told that there really wasn't a huge market for $1m+ homes. I decided that I would take it off the market for a while and perhaps put it up again in a year or two. Jeff originally represented the sellers of the home I lived in. He stopped by during the summer and said if I was interested in putting my house on the market again that he would like to represent me. I had noticed that he sold a couple homes on my street, so when I decided to once again put my house on the market, I gave him a call. The difference in service was almost immediate. He brought his sister over, she helps his clients with staging, to give me suggestions on what I could do to make my house more marketable. It's nothing major, little things that honestly, I didn't even consider until they suggested it, but the difference it made was noticeable. Jeff is involved with every aspect of the selling process and makes you feel as if you're his only client. Amazingly he almost always answers his phone, if not will call you back usually within 30 minutes. He answers all your questions, gives suggestions, knows people that can help with every part of the process. I can't say enough good things about him. I know that it was partly luck, but also Jeff's foresight, but my house sold in less than 24 hours for considerably more than my prior agent thought I could get. He was so impressive that the people who purchased the home, and he wasn't their agent, thought he was the best they've ever worked with!
